Paul Geraghty, aka ‘Jersey Whisperer’, was born in Sydney, Australia to Irish immigrants. Growing up surrounded by parks, beaches, and sport centres, it was only a matter of time before Paul would fall in love with playing and watching all sports.
It was as a teenager in high school that Paul’s love of sport expanded into fashion and design. He began to take a deep interest in what sporting teams were wearing. This led Paul to creating his own team uniform designs and sending them to numerous sporting clubs around Australia.
Encouraged by positive feedback received from these designs, Paul continued to be intrigued and fascinated by what sporting teams were wearing. Then a light bulb moment! Paul had come to the realisation that there was actually a strong correlation between what sporting teams were wearing and what results they were achieving or not achieving.
This was the catalyst for Paul to write his first book called ‘The Psychology of the Sports Uniform’. A book that would catapult Paul on to an exciting new career path as a best-selling author and world renowned sports uniform consultant.
